My journey begins.

Never in a million years did I ever think I would be starting a clothing line for children. It has been such an eye-opening experience for me.

I started sewing for my daughter because she started sucking her thumb and clothing, and I, being the hippie-esque mama. wanted to make sure she was putting material in her mouth that was natural.  So I started researching organic fabric.  Wow!  That started my passion.  The fabric just felt better, it felt soft and durable.  At that point, I realized I wanted to focus on organic and natural fibers in my clothing line.  I've seen the words "polyester", meaning plastic, or "rayon", meaning synthetic fibers. Both of these are in the majority of our everyday fabrics.  Now, I understand that maintaining the suppleness of the fabric is really important in knits, but there are other materials that can be added that don't make you feel like your child is wearing plastic. And then I found: bamboo cloth.  This is a great alternative and feels absolutely amazing.  A bamboo clothing company in my town was having these amazing sales and I would go and load up on all of their XL garments to cut up and make my daughters clothes.  I absolutely fell in love with it.  Bamboo cloth is made from, well, bamboo fibers.  It's usually blended with hemp or spandex to get that lovely stretch. A small amount of synthetic fibers need to be added to the bamboo to get a stretchy, soft, knit. At any rate, I love this fabric. Thus I have started my journey to find the best organic, bamboo and cotton, natural fibers to sew my beautiful creations for you and the children you love.
